Trust the Pinoy to bite on anything that has some MEME in it. Whoever the creative group is that redeemed the DOT from a lousy campaign (Pilipinas kay whaaaat?) knew this very well.
This may be very same magic that got the Filipino consciousness embracing the Pinoy Henyo. It gets people involved even while just remotely watching, trying in their heads to shout the answer to the panicking studio player. It gets everyone getting on their feet to wait for their turn to guess and beat the clock. The viewer is part of the game.
The genius of the 1ForFun campaign is that it allows the internet-savvy Pinoy to be involved, to add his own touch to the tagline: It's more fun in the Philippines! That the ads come with photographs that give the world's most popular words a whole new twist is, well, taking this ingenuity up another notch.
Of course, two days after the viral campaign teaser was released, a web app has already been created for everyone to share his own Fun In The Philippines photo and be part of the MEME fever. I tried it the moment a Facebook contact shared the site http://www.morefunmaker.com/.
Here are the ones I created:
And everyone who ever lived or set foot here is invited to share the most ordinary of things, redefined and made more fun and witty by the Filipino experience. So it's never just the tagline. It's what you put before, after, or with it that says, this is how we see things here; this is how we live here.

So.. you're the genius behind these photos :) i saw these somewhere in fb!
